Was in Oklahoma on business. She came out of a Convenience Store about 10pm, was walking across a 4 lane highway to her car, and was hit by a car. She was taken to hospital, but died the next morning.

She lived with her children, Justin and Shannon, in San Antonio, Tex. Her youngest son, Brandon, lived with his Dad in Dallas, Texas.

“Accident victim identified

Law enforcement officials have released the name of a woman who was killed Sunday night after being struck by a vehicle. She was struck while crossing East Broadway near the Ramada Inn Motel.

Karen Elizabeth Drew, 25 [incorrect, she was 45], San Antonio, Texas died from injuries she received in the accident. She was a sergeant at Randolph AFB, on temporary assignment to Altus Air Force Base. police say that she had been to a convenience store and was walking across highway shrotly before 10pm when the vehicle struck her. Reports also state that she was wearing dark clothing.

Witnesses told police the woman failed to look both ways and was struck with the left side of the front portion of the vehicle.

The woman was taken to Jackson County memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead approximately three hours after the accident occurred.

Altus Police were aided by Altus Air Force Base Police in finding and notifying next of kin.
