‘Effie Dildine married major Olds. he built a large two story house near the Radnor Deport. One day Major Olds left her, and they never knew where he went. Major Olds fought in the Mexican War. He built many houses and a one room brick school in the township. Many years after he came back to Radnor with another wife. He is buried in Radnor cemetery, but his second wife returned to her own home.’
