It was nice for you to have a visit with Emily (Dildine) Price, one of our own generation... Her
granfather's (Archy's) farm was next to ours and when she and her mother would be visiting we were
very friendly, and still are with Mame and Stella Alter, cousin Susie's daughters, and with Martha
Morrow, cousin Nancy's dauther...
My uncle, Archibald A. Coon was wounded at Fair Oaks during the Civil War, but recovered entirely
from that.
My ancestors up to my grandfather and his stepmother are all in Laird Cemetery and I will try to
locate burial place of Michael and wife and Archibald, Sr.
She has said, further, that all the children of Archibald Coon, Sr., both brothers and sisters,
were good looking and carried a strong family resemblance. And among his grand-daughters, who were
first cousins, Harriet (Kuhn) Jackson daughter of Jacob, Anna (Kuhn) Dildine daughter of Archy, and
the daughters of John M. Kuhn, all resembled each other, looked like the Kuhns, and like their Aunt
Kate, youngest daughter of Archibald, Sr. Pictures show all as stately brunettes.
3/7 Paul LeRoy Dildine, born 14 March 1891, married 31 December 1918 at Cambridge, MA
Margareta Moncure, born 11 August 1892, Dundee, Scotland
