My grandfathers name was Joseph Eggleston Lykirkus(sp)Dildine. He was a brother to Jacob Emery Dildine and was born in 1853 in Indiana. Their father, Ralph Dildine moved to Galesburg, Kansas after the Civil War and settled on a quarter section homestead (still called the "old Dildine Place"). Ralph served during the Civil War for the North (Co. D, 59th Indiana Infantry). He died on 12/20/1880. My grandfather J.E.L.(kirgie) migrated to Texas around that time frame after his fathers death, settling in Blanco county, Texas. His first wife had four children before her death. His second wife, my grandmother(Elizabeth Lundy Dildine) had eight children (the youngest boy being Lee Roy Dildine(my father). My grandfather died in 1925, and buried in Miller Creek cemetery, Blanco County, Texas.

My Father Lee R. Dildine was born in 1911 and died in 1993.
I have pictures of J.E.L. Dildine (my Grandfather) and will make copies for anyone wishing them. I would love to get photo copies of any of his brothers or Ralph Dildine, their father. I will be willing to pay any costs associated with these pictures.

thanks so much
James (Jim) Dildine
his father
