Notes for Jane Frances (Spouse 2)
I had no idea that Jane Frances Rose was Elias Leach's second wife. This explains the 2 older children who are listed in the 1850 Census in Marion Co., MO.
It will take me some time to work through these names and dates. One discrepancy with my informastion is the death of Jane Frances. The 1880 Census for Lewis Co. MO, lists Frank Yarbrough, (37), wife Belle (age 24), son Wm. E. (3), son Thomas (1), and Fransis Shumate (55), mother-in-law, widowed.
I had concluded that Elias died sometime between 1870 and 1880, and that in that period Jane Frances married again, perhaps a neighboring widower, who also died before the 1880 Census was taken. It is apparent that I have more work to do on this. From: schoenem@wisc.edu
