My gg grandfather was Jasper Rickels. How are you related?
His wife, Sarah Ann Proctor, was my gg grandmother. Sarah was married 2 times, first to a John Underwood, then to Jasper. Jasper and Sarah's daughter, Mary Elizabeth "Bettie", was my great grandmother. She married a William Thomas "W.T." Davis. Their daughter, Amanda Frances, was my grandmother.
I am lots of info to share. I am looking for info on Jasper's family. I know he had a Uncle named Harrison and his mother was full-blooded Cherokee. I am also looking for info on Sarah's mother, Mary Elizabeth Parsons. Anyone?

(Jasper's mother was a full blooded Cherokee Indian princess that escaped the "Trail of Tears" to Indiana and married his father, she later ran off to find her family, young Jasper and
his uncle Harrison Rickels took off to search for her. They stopped at the home of Anderson Granville Proctor overnight. Young Jasper's feet could not continue, so he stayed with Anderson, while Harrison continued on. Jasper's mother nor his uncle Harrison were ever heard from again. Could Sarah's brother Harrison be named after Jasper's uncle?)
