"Thomas and Barbara made their home in Iowa until 1854 when they crossed the plains to Oregon with the Rinehart train, with her family and Thomas' mother, Martha Dildine Edwards Phillips.  Thomas and Barbara are both buried at Pioneer Cemetery in Eugene, Lane Co, Oregon.
