Notes for Gladys Opal Auwarter
“My sister was christened as Opal but she had it changed. I was christened with the spelling of Lavinia and Ihad it changed to Lavena since that was the way it was pronounced. Since then I am called Libby - I like it better.. Gladys had hers changed to Gladys. “ email from Libby

It was great fun to see Daddy with 3 of his first cousins, Pearl, Libby and Gladys. Gladys wasn't doing too well. Apparently, she fell down playing tennis about 2 years ago and developed a hemotoma on the brain. Since then, her memory has been impaired. She still seemed to enjoy herself and take part, but was a bit 'off.' -- September 15, 2002 Auwärter reunion
