‘Auwärter, August U. in Carmichael October 21, 1982. Beloved husband of the late Julia (Burks) Auwärter. Loving father of Gladys Pendergast of Carmichael and Libby Bava of Sacramento. Loved brother of Elsa Dildine of Oroville. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A native of Woodland. Aged 96 years. Friends are welcome at the N. G. Culjis & Son Chapel of the Valley, 1525 Alhambra Blvd. and are invited to attend the funeral Monday at 11 am. Interment East Lawn Cemetery. Memorials to the charity of your choice.’

Services for August U. Auwarter, a retired cattle rancher, will be at 11 am Monday in the N.G. Culjis and Son Chapel of the Valley.
Mr. Auwarter died Thursay at age 96. A native of Woodland, he had lived in Sacramento the last 30 years.
He is survived by his daughters, Gladys Pendergast of Carmichael and Libby Bava of Sacramento; sister, Elsa Dildine of Oroville; six granchildren, and 11 great-grand-children.
The family requests that any remembrances be sent to a charity of the donor’s choice.
