When questioned about a postcard signed, Lavinia, Gladys and Jean:
‘Jean was a child that my mother took care of and we considered her part of the family. I have written a paper about her. She was very dear to me. She lived with us off and on until she became a nurse and was married to a doctor. She had two sons - one of which I still keep in contact and his family. She took her own life at the age of 31. ‘

I did have open heart surgery in 1997.
